Empowering Women
The Inspiring Story of WWI
Founded in 2020, WWI operates as a women-led Community-Based Organization, aiming to enhance agency, improve livelihoods, and promote active participation of women in decision-making processes. Based in Loyangalani, the organization targets single mothers and girls in the region.
The initiative began with a group of passionate women professionals who recognized the urgent need for empowerment and support among local women, particularly single mothers facing socio-economic challenges.
WWI serves women and girls from the pastoralist and fisherfolk communities, with a focus on single women, divorced women, women with disabilities, and women-headed households.
